In this episode of Talking Tech, we’re joined by Intel Product Marketing Manager Manini Sharma, who gives an overview of new Intel Core Ultra processors codenamed Lunar Lake and breaks down the improvements to power, efficiency, and performance. The latest Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors feature all-new Lion Cove P-cores and Skymont E-cores that offer double-digit IPC gains over the previous generation and significantly improving power efficiency. The new Xe2 graphics architecture offers not only a significant improvement in graphics performance, but also Xe Matrix eXtension (XMX) engines that can accelerate AI workflows including XeSS. The biggest AI performance gains come from the updated NPU, which boasts more than a 4x gain in peak TOPS compared to Meteor Lake.
