the flat tip less restriction than the reversa sometimes there is a wire in the reversa that swirls things up before ti goes through the tip. Just like in an engine having smooth ports gives the engine better flow to the engine and more horsepower. The extra parts it needs to go through on the reversa give you more hoops and valleys for the paint to go through and when it comes out it is confused as to the direction it should be going.. just like using a swivel you double your overspray or more with a swivel.
