Patrick Jason Ranti was born on October 22, 1984, and became known for his debut folk album, Due to the Association of Blues (2017). He is also widely known for the song "Lagunya Begini Nadanya Begitu," which he composed for the poet Sapardi Djoko Damono. Jason's debut album was released in 2017 by Demajors and consists of eleven tracks. The most popular include "Variasi Pink," "Bahaya Komunis," and "Do'a Sejuta Umat." Jason admits that this album is his response to the realities of people's lives. The topics he raised varied, ranging from religion, politics, and youth to communism. Although many observers call it a folk album, Jason himself refuses to label his music in that category.
