You can ad the tow/haul shift lever or the tow/haul with up/down shifting to your 1995-2000 GMC and Chevy trucks.
This is installed in a 1996 truck with a 6.5 diesel and 4L80E trans. I have an OptiShift controller going in it. With that controller I can program two shift tunes. One for towing/performance and one for empty/unloaded driving. Also its capable of using paddle shifters so Im going to try an kook that to the up/down arrows button.
