In this kriti, Dikshitar pleads to the Lord, who taught the sacred Ohm to Lord Shiva (‘swaminatha’), to come fast and protect (‘paripaalaya’) him. The kriti also sings praises on the Lord Subramanya as the one ‘adored by Lord Vishnu, Lord Bramha and sages like Narada; bestower of gifts and boons to those who surrender unto Him; who embellishes and beautifies the literature; the provider of eternal bliss’.
