Indonesia’s transport ministry has launched a search and rescue after a plane crashed with more than 50 people on board including 5 children.
The Sriwijaya airflight, reported to be a Boeing 737, had left the capital Jakarta and was en route to Pontianak in the West Kalimantan province when the plane disappeared.
The airline says it is still gathering information on the flight before it can make a statement.
