The Surgeon's knot is a strong knot for connecting that lines of different or equal diameters that is very quick and easy to tie.

Given its strength and ease of tying, it's a popular knot across all types of fishing. But did you know that the amount of twists you add to your surgeon knot can make or break the knot?

I had known about this knot for years but always used to think that it was just a simple knot that wasn't as strong as the other more elaborate options...
