The Oxford University-AstraZeneca vaccine has now been approved for mass production and distribution by the United Kingdom government, which has ordered 100 million doses to be administered to 50 million people. India's Serum Institute has also claimed to have 5 crore doses of the vaccine, and says it can produce 10 crores per month by February.
