Three things we like about the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. First, it feels honest. That means that it looks and goes exactly as you think it might based on what you see in the spec sheets and how this format of motorcycles should feel. Riding it is easy, newer riders will find it more thrilling and challenging and the niggles are few and far between. Second, it's good in the corners too! Now that the horrible Pirelli Phantoms are behind us, the Inty has pretty decent tyres and that combines well with the frame to offer unhurried but lovely manners in the corners. Going super quick is possible but then you'll need to be a smooth rider. Third, the performance is useable. What that means is that the Inty is easy to ride in the city using a reasonably high gear to do most of the work and that sense of calm but good performance remains rock stead at highway speeds too. Of the three 650s so far, this makes the Interceptor 650 quite easy to recommend. And let's not forget that the Royal Enfield 650s prices are still, many years later, unbelievably good.
