New Delhi, August 11 (ANI): In a major judgment, the Supreme Court on Tuesday said that Aadhar card will be optional for availing various welfare schemes of the government. The court said that Aadhar can be used for Public Distribution Schemes (PDS) foodgrains, kerosene and LPG, but it is not mandatory to avail the benefits of such schemes. The court further ordered that no personal information of the holders of such cards shall be shared by any authority.
