This stunning video captures the beauty of a spring sunset at Traeth Llanddwyn, a picturesque beach in Anglesey. The camera pans over the ruins of a church dating back to the reign of Henry VIII, which adds a historical and cultural significance to the landscape. The ruins are framed against the backdrop of a gorgeous orange and pink sky, which serves as a perfect contrast to the rugged terrain.
In the distance, we see a lighthouse that stands as a testament to the harsh realities of life on the coast. The lighthouse, which was built in the 19th century, never lit up, making the journey from Wales to Anglesey treacherous for sailors. It was seen as a test of fate, and the absence of light added to the danger of navigating the waters in the dark.
Shot entirely on the DJI Mavic Air 2, the video provides a bird's eye view of the stunning landscape, giving viewers a unique perspective of the beach, the ruins, and the lighthouse. This is a truly breathtaking video that captures the essence of Traeth Llanddwyn, and the natural beauty that surrounds it.
To reach Traeth Llanddwyn, visitors must take a 40-minute walk through the beautiful Newborough Forest, which is itself a popular attraction in the region. The forest trail is well-marked, and the walk itself is a treat for the senses, with the sound of birds and the rustling of leaves providing a peaceful soundtrack to the journey.
As you near the end of the trail, the sound of waves crashing against the shore can be heard in the distance, building anticipation for the breathtaking view that awaits. And when you emerge from the forest, the view of the beach is nothing short of breathtaking. The vast expanse of sand, the rugged coastline, and the iconic lighthouse all come together to create a scene that is truly awe-inspiring.
The walk through the forest is an added bonus, providing visitors with a chance to take in the natural beauty of the region before reaching the beach. The journey itself is an experience, and the reward at the end is well worth the effort.
This was captured on my recent trip to Wales, visiting a number of beautiful locations in such a raw landscape. I can't wait to share these locations with you in the following weeks.
