Karnataka Mutt Rape Case News: Protests have erupted in Karnataka's Chitradurga demanding strict action against a Lingayat seer accused of raping minor girls. Prominent Lingayat mutt seer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru was detained on Monday in an alleged sexual assault case involving minors.
The Mysuru city police have registered an FIR against Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru after a complaint was filed on behalf of two minors. He has been booked under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
