What a beauty she is. A stunning hobby-grade model that goes!
Slide open the locks of its high-quality protective foam storage box/carry case and you will be immediately struck by the exquisite metallic green paint job, moulded polystyrene body, and official Toyota nameplates and emblems within. Every detail has been lovingly crafted to replicate the real thing, down to the tiny metal hinges on her openable hood.

Click through a ton of light settings: low beam, high beam, left and right indicators, warning lights, and taillights that include brake lights, indicators and reverse lights.

The roof can be unscrewed to make it open-top, the side doors can be opened (key tool provided) and removed, and even the windscreen folds forward, allowing for easy viewing of the impressive interior.

Inside, an ESC-controlled steering wheel sits beside a detailed dashboard, and soft rubber seats give the appearance and texture of the real thing.
For car enthusiasts, one of the most impressive aspects will be the chassis beneath, which is modelled just like the real car, with a C-Channel frame and leaf-under-axle leaf suspension. The motor is front-mounted, and all the electronics can be found under the hood.

In terms of performance, the FMS FJ45 runs on a 2S 7.4v 380mAh battery, giving it an approximate 30mins run time. There is a pre-installed 180 brushless motor. While the focus is clearly more on scale details rather than performance, it is still a capable RC for the casual hobbyist. A 2-speed transmission allows for good slow crawling as well as faster-paced trailing.
Overall, the FMS FJ45 is a miracle in a box that's bound to excite scale RC lovers this year.
