I walked between Baker Street and Great Portland Street on the London Underground Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines.

But for once this is not about the walk but about what is going on just beneath the surface of the Euston Road - the world’s first underground railway which opened in January 1863 - a dive underground to see how it was done, 1860s style.
