Bullmastiffs and Molossers are, according to their breed description, fearless guardians and guard dogs. But that doesn't mean they're not scared or sometimes unsure. It is often the little things that irritate them. That is why they are often afraid of unknown things. But that is not a disadvantage. A dog that does not become aggressive with uncertainty is more reliable and safer than a dog that immediately goes into combat mode. It is up to the owner to show whether a situation is threatening or not. If the owner is unable to do this, a Molosser will always switch to protection mode. It may be dangerous. The owner has to make this decision, never the dog!
