SWAP-NO ROOT SCAM

What is a SWAP file?
- a swap file is a virtual extension of your system RAM by taking a portion of a device's internal memory and make it simulate as a RAM
- swap file or virtual RAM is much slower than an actual RAM.
- because of speed difference, a virtual RAM is only used as a temporary extra storage for tasks that the actual physical RAM cannot handle at the moment
- a swap file does not function the way RAM does. it is just a parking lot for unprocessed tasks.
- most computing devices, if not all, has a swap file

SWAP-NO ROOT
- claims that this app can create and add a swap file or a virtual RAM on an Android device

BASIC TESTS:

ANTUTU TESTS
- this test shows that using SWAP-NO ROOT decreases performance by around 10%

CHECKING ACTUAL SWAP FILE
- Actual swap file did not increase
- no changes at all even after I restarted the phone

HOW ADDING SWAP FILE REALLY WORKS
- Swap file must be recognized by the kernel
- this is why root access is required
- once root access is granted, you may use any app that can create a swap file.
- run scripts so that the system (kernel) will know where the new swap file is located

CONCLUSION
- SWAP-NO ROOT has no access to the kernel that is why the swap file created by this app is not recognized by the system (shown earlier)
- there is also NO script to tell the system where the new swap file is located.
- so basically, you are just wasting away free space for a useless swap file created by this app.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
- some claimed that their Android device actually improved performance.
- i think this is because of a "placebo effect" where a user WANTS TO BELIEVE that something is going to change their experience by using a fake app
- BUT if you really think this app works for you, use it.
- aside from consuming a couple of gigabytes on your internal storage, it seems safe to use. (this is how PLACEBO effect works)
- personally, i will uninstall this app after this review as this decreases performance of my device.
