On 21 March in Amsterdam, Avanzanite Bioscience started the tradition of the KNIGHTS for RARE fundraiser.

We are doing this to support and celebrate people that have dedicated their lives to helping others with #rarediseases. These are the heroes that are really making a difference in patients' lives every day – while not being paid for their dedication.

Our 2023 RARE KNIGHT is Juliette Vila Sinclair-Spence, an inspiring and "not-shy-at-all" founder and leader of The Acanthamoeba Keratitis Eye Foundation, the first worldwide foundation, headquartered in the #netherlands, dedicated to this devastating eye infection that accounts for 50% of all cases of blindness among contact lens users.

More than 45 biotech executives, investors, advisors and rare disease advocates raised a total of 4,150.00 EUR and attended the event.
