Russians are divided on the conflict with Ukraine, one day after Russia launched a “special military operation” in the country on February 24, 2022. Anti-war protests have broken out in several cities, including Moscow, St Petersburg and Novosibirsk, where police arrested protesters at the unauthorised rallies. Some Moscow residents, however, have shown support for the military strikes.
