National Cadet Corps
Sainik School Bijapur under the aegis of National Cadets Corps is organising camp for 260 cadets in the School Campus. Cadets of Class IX, XI and XII are participating. We have two army officers-Col R Balaji, Principal and Lt Col Rishi Raj Singh, Head Master. They are recreating the army life for the participating cadets and the Associate NCC Officers.
The opening address is delivered by Camp Commandant Lt Col Rishi Raj Singh on 04 April 2012 at the Mango Grove area. Col R Balaji, Principal also addressed the Cadets. This location looks like a jungle. We have three huge Adilshahi time wells, Hanuman temple and lot of shade to undertake training activities. Many yielding mango trees are great attraction to our cadets. The firing range is nearby. Newly acquired Tata 207 open vehicle is conveying things like dharies , mats ,drinking water, arms and ammunition for firing and food from the cooking point to the camp site.
The training sessions include 'The Yogathan-Suryanamaskar ' ,cross country race, swimming, horse riding , rifle training firing, group discussions, lectures, public speaking, camouflage and concealment, ambush, lessons on First Aid, Fire safety , drill, selected films on battles fought and games. These camps will help the cadets to get their Certificate A, B and C before they leave the School after class XII.
