GB boccia player David Smith has cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia) which means he uses an electric wheelchair. However, he doesn't let that stop him. He became British boccia champion at 14 and a world champion at 18 and now has his sights set on a Paralympic medal at Paris 2024.
This is all testament to his character, as he says that when he was young, he was told that his disability would prevent him from doing certain things in life. However, Smith has managed to prove the doubters wrong!
