Thank you all for attending our first virtual Gala this past Thursday, May 6th. Shout out to all those who donated to the Lantern Festival Gala, helping us reach our goal of $500,000 and then surpassing it for a grand total of $542,000!
Despite some technical hiccups, we had over 250 people attend the event to enjoy unique performances by Pao Art Center artists, hear our honoree stories, and learn about our communities. We couldn’t have done this without your support!
We’re proud and grateful to have people like you as part of the BCNC family. Your gifts will create pathways to brighter futures for:
• English learners such as Jinqi and Jimmy, both new immigrants. You help them find resources for their families and better employment opportunities.
• Youth such as Sarah Xu, a high school student. You build the foundation for a future leader in her community.
In addition, in our fight against anti-Asian racism, Pao Arts Center has collaborated with City of Boston, MBTA, Orange Barrel Media, and WGBH to bring Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya’s We Are More campaign to digital media screens around the City.
Thank you again for your participation and support and look forward to seeing you again!
