Bialla is a very remote place in the West New Britain Province of Papua New Guinea. The main economic activity is agriculture, especially oil palm 🪴 plantations. Cash flow within Bialla and West New Britain Province is so high that people from all walks of life are attracted to work and and live in this rural community. There is virtually no large supermarkets, 4 or 5 star hotels, clubs but only a handful of Chinese shops, few motels and the rest is surrounded by village communities and natural surroundings. It is a coastal community of which the local people sustain themselves through fishing 🎣, gardening and harvesting oil palm 🌴 to sell to Hargy Oil Palm Ltd, a Belgium owned company that has been operating in Bialla since 1976.
