Ukrainians are “realistic” about China’s role as a phone call has been “scheduled” between Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Zelensky, says The Kyiv Post’s Pete Shmigel.
His comments come as the Chinese President is currently visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
“Let’s reinforce the fact that China has to date had an informal policy of neutrality in this war,” Mr Shmigel told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“It has not directly provided a military support to Russia. There are still open lines of communication between Ukraine and China.”
