Columbia Water has been going through many changes this year and one of most exciting announcements is the opening of the new Water/Wastewater Administration Building on West Beltline Boulevard. Clint Shealy, Assistant City Manager of Columbia Water, hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony and remarks were made by City of Columbia Mayor Stephen K. Benjamin, City of Columbia City Manager Teresa Wilson, City of Columbia District II Counciman Edward McDowell, Jr. and Diane Wylie from the surrounding neighborhoods in the area. This complex is designed to house all Water and Wastewater Mangement administration, crews, technicians, vehicle fleet, emergency equipment and materials for the City of Columbia. The building is also the City's first building to have achieve LEED Gold level standards, which focuses on environmental friendly and energy efficient designs.
