JBR BEACH:
Jumeirah Beach, more commonly referred to as JBR Beach, is the most renowned seaside destination in Dubai. Situated within the Dubai Marina vicinity, it is in close proximity to The Walk and Jumeirah Beach Residences, both of which contribute to its nomenclature. Boasting a substantial length of over 18 kilometers, this beach ranks among the largest in Dubai, commencing at Skydive Dubai and extending southward to the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort.
VIEW OF THE AIN DUBAI & PALM JUMEIRAH:
On one side, in the distance, you'll behold the iconic Palm Jumeirah island, shaped like a palm tree, while on the other, the imposing Bluewaters Island with Ain Dubai, the world's largest Ferris wheel. Turning your gaze inland, you'll be greeted by the awe-inspiring skyline of Dubai Marina, adorned with over a hundred towering skyscrapers. Skydive Dubai offers a view of the world's tallest residential block, boasting some of the loftiest residential towers globally, with the remarkable Cayan Tower, easily identifiable by its distinctive twisted design.
JBR Beach itself boasts a generous width, gently tapering into the sea, creating an inviting shoreline for all. Known primarily as a family-friendly beach, it offers child-friendly amenities and a play area for youngsters. However, please remain vigilant regarding the ever-changing water conditions, as flags signal safety levels. A yellow flag indicates caution, while a red flag signifies that entering the water is not recommended due to hazardous currents.
BEACH AMENITIES:
JBR Beach offers a plethora of facilities, largely attributable to the adjacent shopping and entertainment district aptly named "The Beach." Here, you can savor delectable meals for lunch or dinner at one of the numerous restaurants, indulge in boutique shopping, or catch a movie at the cinema. The evenings, in particular, bring a delightful bustle, with the well-designed green areas and captivating lighting, making it an appealing spot for a leisurely stroll during the cooler hours.
Moreover, the beach provides well-maintained shower facilities, private changing cubicles, and restroom amenities. Loungers and umbrellas are available for rent for a nominal fee. At the beachfront, a variety of water sports activities are at your disposal, including options like parasailing, pedal boating, surfing, wakeboarding, flyboarding, jet skiing, kayaking, and an exhilarating banana boat ride towed by a boat. Along the promenade, fitness enthusiasts can utilize outdoor exercise equipment, and beachgoers can engage in lively volleyball matches at the dedicated courts on the beach.
Getting to JBR Beach in Dubai:
JBR Beach is situated in the Dubai Marina district, close to the Jumeirah Beach Residences. If you're arriving by car, follow the prominent road signs directing you to JBR Beach, The Beach, and/or Jumeirah Beach Residences. These signs are prominently displayed throughout Dubai Marina and along the highway. Alternatively, you can find a detailed route description on The Beach's website. Be aware that Dubai Marina can get quite congested, particularly in the afternoons and on weekends, which can occasionally lead to traffic delays.
For parking, there is a parking garage located beneath The Beach area. Parking is priced at 20 AED per hour. If you spend 100 AED or more at The Beach, your first three hours of parking are complimentary. Just ensure to have your parking ticket stamped at the store.
For those opting for public transport, consider taking the Dubai metro and disembark at the Dubai Marina metro stop (No. 23) or Jumeirah Lake Towers (No. 24). You can then cover the remaining distance on foot, which typically takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can travel to JBR Beach using the Dubai Tram. Two Dubai Tram stations, Station 1 (Jumeirah Beach Residence 1) and Station 2 (Jumeirah Beach Residence 2), are conveniently located within walking distance of JBR Beach and The Beach.
