Blue Mountains Mayor, Cr Mark Greenhill says local landfill facilities are full to the brim and asks that fire-affected residents bring only small amounts of uncontaminated fire waste to local tips.
The $10M Clean Up and Fire Waste Removal announced last Thursday (November 14) will see all bulk contaminated and non-contaminated waste taken off the mountains. "We'll know more in the days ahead," insists Mayor Greenhill, "about the where and when of fire waste disposal. Your patience is appreciated.
