This video covers stand 6 within the Schenck Forest Stewardship Planning area. The forest stand is dominated by planted loblolly pines in the overstory with a midstory of hardwoods, and basal area exceeds 100 ft2/acre. I estimate that the overstory trees were planted more than 40 years ago, but you could verify using an increment borer. The understory ranges from sparse to absent. The stand has no history of prescribed fire.
