Ms. Delayette by TEFI Vintage Lab is a reliable digital delay that pays homage to vintage multi-headed tube tape delays such as the Klemt Echolette. The tape path graphic is like a sonic roadmap, showing spots along the way where the virtual tape is manipulated sonically. When components such as tape heads, rollers and capstans get out of alignment or worn from age, modulation will be present in the repeats. The Wow control adjusts the depth of a consistent sine wave modulation which can be very chorus like, while Flutter has a bit more crinkle and random warble that stems from a worn roller and tape drag, adding a distinct lo-fi character to your instrument. The left toggle intensifies the friction and modulation by adding another idler roller to the transport while the right toggle engages a second playback head (Nachhall mode) for reverb-esque repeats and multi-tap delay that will gallop into self-oscillation. Oscillation can be activated with an external footswitch or by cranking the Feedback knob manually. You can also span the 60-850ms delay range with the Motor knob or an expression pedal.
