Three people were arrested and a number of chemicals were seized after police officers executed two warrants in Northampton.
At about 9am on Monday, July 17, officers raided a house in Lindsay Terrace following intelligence that the property was being used as a base to manufacture drugs.
Once inside, they found a number of chemicals and arrested two people on suspicion of being concerned in the production of drugs – a man aged 27 and a woman aged 21.
They then moved onto a house in Shakespeare Road where a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the same offences.
All three have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Chief Inspector Tom Thompson said: “Tackling drug harm is a matter of priority for Northamptonshire Police so I am pleased to have arrested these three people and to have seized a number of chemicals that we believe were being used in the production of illicit drugs.
“Our investigations into this group will continue and I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to the local community to get in touch if you suspect drug dealing in your area.
“It may not always look like we are acting on your reports immediately but please rest assured that we take every report seriously and use all of them to gather evidence about a specific issue in order to tackle it in the most effective way.
“Finally, I’d like to thank our partners at Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and the East Midlands Ambulance Service, as well as the specialist assets from outside of the Force, for their assistance on Monday.”
