PVP Live: Overwatch players discovered that Blizzard included hints of the New Year skins during the Winter Wonderland event. Taking a closer look at the hero gallery, you’ll notice Mei and D.Va’s sprays are almost identical to the skins released yesterday evening.

Reddit user Prathik speculates that Blizzard is using the Winter Wonderland sprays to foreshadow upcoming skins in the near future. While it doesn't seem like every character will benefit from new cosmetic skins for upcoming holiday events, it does appear the sprays hold greater significance. It will be interesting to see which characters Blizzard has in mind to celebrate the next holiday tradition.
