Some journals may have impact factors close to 0, while others may have impact factors above 50 or even higher. However, it is important to note that the majority of journals have impact factors between 1 and 3.

The impact factor should not be used to directly compare journals from different fields or with different publishing models. It is more useful to compare the impact factors of journals within the same field and with similar publication models, as this can provide a more meaningful assessment of the journal's relative impact within its scholarly community.

It is also important to keep in mind that the impact factor is just one metric among many that can be used to assess the quality and impact of research. Other metrics, such as citation counts, h-index, and Altmetrics, may provide additional insights into the influence and visibility of research within and beyond the academic community.
