STORYLINE:
As nearly a month of negotiations aimed at clearing the way for Chinese admission to the World Trade Organisation came to an end in Geneva on Friday, the prospects for Chinese membership looked good.
China's top negotiator said all documents for the final approval had been concluded.
The final decision will be made at a WTO ministerial meeting in Doha, Qatar in November.
China has been pressing for membership of the WTO for 14 years
