A cliff more than 40 meters in height collapsed, blocking a highway tunnel entrance on Saturday afternoon, after recent torrential rainfall throughout north China’s Shanxi Province. The landslide took only 10 seconds and was recorded on surveillance video. At first, some loose soil could be seen falling from the cliff, then suddenly the whole rock face collapsed just after two vehicles drove into the tunnel. Luckily, they were fast enough to escape the landslide, and the following vehicles were able to brake and stop in time.
