Sugar Method -- Descriptive Text
The video opens to a slide with the words "Sugar Method."
The scene moves to Dr. Ash Sial talking to the camera.
The scene changes to a slide with the word "Materials" then moves to show a glass beaker with 100 blueberries in it, a glass beaker with 1/4 cup sugar in it, a glass beaker with 1 quart of water in it, and a gallon Ziploc bag.
The scene changes to 1/4 cup sugar being added to 1 quart water and briskly stirred until salt is dissolved.
The scene moves to the beaker of 100 blueberries being put into the gallon Ziploc bag. The bag is sealed tightly and the blueberries are gently mashed by hand. The scene continues to add sugar solution to the bag and the bag is sealed tightly.
The scene moves to a close up of Spotted Wing Drosophila larvae floating around the mashed blueberries in the Ziploc bag.
The video ends with the UGA Extension logo.
