Louis Fishman, assistant professor of history, has eyes and ears on the ground in the Middle East, especially Turkey, Israel, and the Syrian conflict. Just last week his Twitter feed was one of the most substantiated accounts of the bombing in Istanbul and yesterday he posted on the final battle for Aleppo and suspected use of poison gas on the rebel forces and remaining civilians.
