In Banjo Quest episode 33, I show you a bare bones arrangement of Cumberland Gap in aDGCF tuning (which puts this in the key of F). I run through the tune once slowly without repeats, and again at a moderate tempo with full repeats.
This is just the beginning! There is so much more to do with this tune including creating variations, learning chord shapes and progression, and changing the arrangement to suit individual taste. If you'd like more material on all of this, plus tablature for this lesson, please visit:

This is the second video in the Banjo Quest series in which I discuss the Cumberland Gap arrangement on my album "Sinful to Flirt". Be aware that if you call this tune at a typical old time session, you'll need to adapt to the key of the rest of the session (usually D).
