My biochemistry 6-week research was a part of my biochemistry lab course, and my group was free to decide on a topic of interest. Bioluminescence is a fascinating biochemical process. I wondered if the emitted light could be predictably measured in a laboratory in vitro to test water pH using environmentally friendly biological reagents.
