During this short 236km flight which takes little over 30 minutes in the air flying at just 12,000feet I offer a comprehensive account of what the Link Airways SAAB 340B Plus flying experience is like and what you can expect both on board and on the ground looking at everything from the ground handling experience, to the aircraft and seat condition, on board food and beverage offerings and of course value for money.

I will also dig deeper into the reasoning why Virgin Australia have outsourced their entire daily schedule of Sydney to Canberra flights to Link Airways to operate on their behalf as part of a wet lease agreement and also talk about the the wider economic rationale of whether it is actually worth the cost premium for flying between the two cities and whether there is actually any time savings to be had over driving or catching a bus or train.
