1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Cherry Sunburst finish. The guitar has some nice figuring on it's 3-piece maple top which you don't see that often! It's been played so there is some visible wear and someone stripped the back of the body at some point. The pickguard is a later replacement. It's maybe one of the very last ones with the ABR-bridge with studs mounted directly into the top and a mahogany neck. In 1975 Gibson switched to maple necks and Nashville-style bridges with metal inserts. The weight of 4.5kg is rather on the light side for a 70s LP Custom and it resonates well! The original Gibson "T-Top-humbuckers" are still 60s versions with the Pat.Nr. waterslide decal on their backside and have outputs of N=7,25K and B=7,09K. The electronic is untouched with all original solderjoints, the 4x matching pots are stamped 137.74.52, dating them to last week of 1974. The neck feels comfortable and has been professionally refretted. Great sounding guitar with low action and great playability! Comes in original black Gibson protector case w/red lining.
