UC Berkeley Sexual Harassment
This week, California Golden Bears assistant men's basketball coach Yann Hufnagel was fired amid allegations of sexual harassment. His is the latest in a series of harassment cases involving UC Berkeley faculty and employees. Thuy Vu sits down with KQED reporter Sara Hossaini, who has been closely following the story.
Raising the Smoking Age
California is poised to become the second state in the nation to ban teens from purchasing cigarettes. Under a bill approved in Sacramento last week, the legal age to buy cigarettes and other tobacco products would go up to 21. Another bill would allow e-cigarettes to be regulated like traditional tobacco. Thuy Vu is joined by Professor Dorie Apollonio from UC San Francisco's Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education.
Student Video Projects
Bay Area youth express themselves through short video projects about political issues they care about. As part of a callout by KQED's Education Department, 100 students from around the Bay Area sent in videos. We talk with several people who participated in "My Backyard Campaign" -- teachers D'Wana Stewart and Kathy Nichols and Oakland Technical High School student Madeline Fonseca.

Snow Art
The recent storms in drought-stricken California have delighted state water officials as well as skiers and snowboarders in the Sierra. The weather has also offered an Oakland-based artist the material she needs to produce her work. We get a look at Sonja Hinrichsen's large-scale artworks, created on a canvas of fluffy white snow.
