Manhunt underway after two-car crash leaves man fighting for life in Sydney - australia news update - australian news today - Channel 86 Australia
A white Audi involved in a Sydney crash that has left a man fighting for his life was an unreturned hire car, police said.
At about 10.40pm, emergency services found the Audi alight after colliding with a silver Nissan on Davies Road, Padstow, in the city's south-west.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Police were told the occupants of the Audi, believed to be three men, fled the scene after the crash.
They are believed to be aged in their mid to late 20s.
The Nissan driver, a 39-year-old man, was taken to hospital in a critical condition, and he is undergoing surgery.
Detective Inspector Jason Hogan said it appeared the Nissan had been making a right-hand turn when the collision took place.
He called on the three absconders to turn themselves into police.
