MicPol® is the special ingredient in Interflon products that gives the lowest possible amount of friction. MicPol® stands for "micronization and polarization". This video offers an excellent demonstration of MicPol®'s properties and behavior.
Lubrication particles are micronized to between .01 and .03 microns. This means they are small enough to penetrate into every microscopic crack and crevice on a metal surface (and many other types of surfaces, too), forming a smooth layer that offers very little resistance.
Polarization means that the particles are given a negative charge, so that they adhere magnetically to surfaces, rather than through viscosity (stickiness).
These same properties also mean that Interflon products with MicPol® are very good at repelling water. Water cannot penetrate the film that MicPol® creates, so it offers very strong protection against corrosion.
