The film stars Prem Nazir, Lakshmi, KP Ummer, Adoor Bhasi, T. S. Muthaiah, Jagathi Sreekumar, KPAC Lalitha , Philomina, TR Omana, Sreelatha, Surasu, Nilambur Balan, etc. in the lead roles. Jagathi Sreekumar was introduced by Sreekumaran Thampi as a comedian in this film. The lyrics penned by Sreekumaran Thampi and music by MK Arjunan. Jolly Abraham was introduced as a playback singer in this film with the song '' Jayikkanayi Janichavan ''. The Film '' Chattambi Kalyani '' has broken all box office records in Malyalam till that date.
