We followed lush jungle trails and gardens overgrown with tropical plants and flowers to find the rustic remains of an 18th century sugar mill--seemingly lost in the midst of a rainforest! We visited the Balenbouche Sugar Mill on August 19, 2011. The Balenbouche Sugar Mill is a designated heritage site and is located at the Balenbouche Estate in Laborie, St. Lucia.
