St John’s Co-Cathedral - Valetta, Malta - by Kari Gröhn karigrohncom - St John’s Co-Cathedral was built as the conventual church by the Knights of Malta between 1573 and 1578. This Baroque church is one of the world's great cathedrals.
Caravaggio’s Beheading of St John the Baptist hangs in St John's Co-Cathedral. Completed in 1608 the painting had been commissioned by the Knights of Malta.
