GTX 770 in 2017, Is it better value than a GTX 1050 Ti?

The GTX 770 was a great choice a few years back when it hit the market but its now a few generations old. With prices of nVidias new GTX 1050 Ti skyrocketing due to demand and low availability, should you be looking backwards to bring your Rig forwards?

Both cards are benchmarked today thanks to a good friend who has kindly loaned me his card while he is away.

The MSI GTX 770 2Gb was bought by myself a couple of weeks back online for £80

The GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb cost £165.

Is the extra cost justified and who should buy what? Lets find out!
