A special review of Hornby's A4 Mallard in Garter Blue. The 3rd July 2018 marks 80 years since the record-breaking run of Mallard in which she broke the world steam record of 126mph which stands to this day.
The model dates from around 2010, product code R2339.
Not a bad model overall, well-detailed with plenty of features for its age. Nowadays, it's quite pricey but if you can find a cheap one or a good quality second-hand one it's great value. Otherwise, a considered investment but definitely one to get.
