The debut of this duo between Nostalggia, the one behind the many Inverse Solar Reqvriem acts and Waste Walker, from Jævlig and Wulvyr.


Wuldor offers a raw yet surprisingly layered experience, showcasing a unique fusion of black metal, punk, and neofolk elements. This project, a collaboration between Nostalggia, best known for his prolific work within the Inverse Solar Reqvriem label and Waste Walker from Jævlig and Wulvyr, melds their creative energies into a distinct and memorable sonic venture.

The two tracks on “Snow Shield” strike a balance between black and punk textures. Although the black metal elements dominate, with tremolo-picked riffs buried under a suffocating wall of distortion and noise, there is a punk energy simmering beneath the chaos, a driving d-beat simplicity that feels confrontational yet strangely inviting. The harsh vocals are a centerpiece, cutting through the instrumental haze with an almost primal intensity, imbuing the music with an unhinged, demented edge.

While the first track immerses listeners in a relentless storm of blackened chaos, the second introduces a striking tonal shift with neofolk influences. These softer interludes hint at Wuldor's intent to weave narrative into their compositions, a trait often found in Nostalggia’s works. These neofolk flourishes are a brief but poignant respite before plunging back into the demo's abrasive heart, emphasizing the interplay of vulnerability and aggression that defines “Snow Shield”.
