Small cumulus clouds are born, grow, then die over the Sandia Mountains. As the mountain warms in the sun, plumes of warm air rise (thermals) and cool until they hit the dew point, forming clouds. If you watch the bottom of these clouds, you can see the rising thermals enter the cloud. If cumulus clouds do not have a source of rising air, they will die. In this video, the cumulus clouds will drift off the source of the thermal, and then collapse and die.
