This is arguably the only way to have coconut. Fresh from the tree, beach sand between your toes and warm sun overhead. This is on the beach at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro Beach resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The fresh coconut is served by the locals, with a guy and his wheelbarrow. And a great big machete making short work of the tough coconut shell. Definitely worth the couple of euros we paid him for it - if only for the experience, but also for the taste!
